After the Charter, Hit the MarshWalk

Catching fish is only half the day. The other half is sitting on the water with a cold drink, watching the marsh light up at sunset, and eating something that was swimming this morning.

That’s exactly what the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk delivers.

The MarshWalk is a 1.2-mile wooden boardwalk that follows the curve of a natural estuary, with eight waterfront restaurants serving fresh seafood, cold drinks, and live music. It’s walkable, relaxed, and one of the best spots on the entire Grand Strand to wind down after a morning on the water.

Where to Eat

Drunken Jack’s is a MarshWalk staple — casual, lively, and right on the water with an extensive menu and views to match. It’s the kind of place where you show up in flip flops and nobody cares. Litchfieldbeach

Wicked Tuna focuses on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and offers a diverse menu spanning sushi, seafood, and steak. If you want something a little more elevated after a big day out, this is the move. Litchfieldbeach

Creek Ratz is the family-friendly call — casual nautical atmosphere, outdoor seating, fresh seafood, sandwiches, pizza, and a kids menu at prices that won’t hurt. Daily happy hour doesn’t hurt either. Coral Beach

Neptune Bistro and Raw Bar brings a chic waterfront vibe with fresh raw bar options and a menu of light, fresh dishes, plus martinis that have a serious reputation. Coral Beach

The Full Day

Book a morning inshore charter with Fish Finder Charters, catch redfish and flounder in the Murrells Inlet marsh, clean up, and walk the MarshWalk for lunch or dinner. That’s a day worth repeating.

Flounder

Murrells Inlet is known as the Seafood Capital of South Carolina,  and the MarshWalk is why. This isn’t chain restaurant tourist food. It’s fresh, local, and right on the water. Crazy Sister Marina

Fish Finder Charters departs from Murrells Inlet. Half-day inshore trips are back to the dock in time for a late lunch or happy hour. Cheers!
