Here’s something a lot of Myrtle Beach visitors don’t realize: some of the best shark fishing on the East Coast happens just minutes from where they’re staying, right out of Murrells Inlet. And spring is one of the best times of year to make it happen.
What Does a Trip Actually Look Like?
You’ll head out to nearshore waters where our captains know sharks are feeding. Lines go in, and then you wait. That’s part of the game. When a shark picks up the bait, the bite is unmistakable. The rod loads up, the drag starts peeling, and the fight is on. Our captains coach you through every step so you’ll know exactly what to do when it counts.

Is It Safe?
Absolutely. When you’re with experienced captains on a properly equipped boat. Our shark trips run on 26-foot center console boats with captains who know how to handle these fish safely.
Do You Need Experience?
Not at all. If you’ve never fished a day in your life but want to cross “catch a shark” off your bucket list, this is your trip. Kids can absolutely participate. Smaller sharks are great for younger anglers, and for bigger fish the adults take the rod for the main fight.

Why Spring Is the Right Time
By late April and into May, blacktips and spinners are moving through in solid numbers, often mixed in with Spanish mackerel schools. We offer 3 and 4-hour trips, so it fits easily into any vacation schedule.
